Under the pseudonym illustratingreddit, artist Sandra Salsbury makes paintings from hidden stories she sees Reddit comments. Put together, these create a children’s book of Reddit: An alternate, wondrous narrative of the site.
Fitting, since Salsbury, who has an MFA from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, has long dreamed of being a children’s book illustrator. She may get that wish: This summer, Salsbury plans to turn one of her most popular paintings on Reddit into a full-length story.
