Well-educated dog can follow written commands
This dog takes its orders from cue cards.
Meet Jordan, the literate dog.
Instead of training Jordan to respond to vocal commands, his owner taught him to read. Unless this video is a needlessly elaborate hoax, it proves that Jordan can read the words “sit” and “down” and follow those instructions accordingly.
At first we thought, “Hey, isn’t this dog just recognizing the different shapes of each word?” But let’s be honest: that’s basically the definition of reading. So yes, this dog can read, even if it’s only two simple words.
