Do you have any idea how fast you were twerking, sir?

You don’t need the day off to properly enjoy Mardi Gras—just ask the on-duty cops in this video, who got down to a funky beat on what looks to be New Orleans’ St. Charles Avenue. They must be fulfilling a personal motto: To serve and protect and pop and lock.

No, honestly, did they rehearse this number? We’re particularly impressed by the middle-aged guy in the foreground, who seems as limber any trained ballerina and executes a particularly great glitch-out sequence toward the end. (Is that… RoboCop?)

It’s nice to know that for every new story about police incompetence or brutality, there are probably dozens of impromptu law enforcement dance-offs that go unreported. Well, no more. Now can we please get people to hold their phones sideways while filming?
