In Atlanta on Monday, crowds gathered to watch the implosion of the Georgia Dome. The former home turf of the Atlanta Falcons was the largest domed stadium in the U.S. and had been in use for 25 years before its historic demolition. If you weren’t in the city and wanted to see the dome fall, you could have tuned into the Weather Channel’s live coverage.
At least, that was the network’s plan. Atlanta’s public transit system, MARTA, had other ideas.

You can watch the whole video, under the headline “The Weather Channel’s Georgia Dome Implosion View Got Ruined by an Atlanta Bus and So Did Our Cameraman’s Day.” The camera had been rolling for 40 minutes before the big moment, Crugnale tweeted, which must have made the blocked view extra excruciating for the Weather Channel crew.
