If you can’t have strippers crash your wedding, then you might as well have battle rappers show up and roast you in front of everybody.
That’s something a British guy named James learned first-hand earlier this year when his wife, a lovely 27-year-old named Fran, hired London sketch comedians Shuffle T and Marlow to run a few bars on her groom before getting into the sweet and tender.
What starts off as a slow burn quickly goes into full-on pulling-skeletons-out-of-the-closet mode, with the two rappers eventually closing sentimental.
In between, as fans on Reddit were quick to note, a whole lot of battle rap references: Hoffa, King of the Date, and Krack City’s Dizaster, among others. “Shuffle T and Marlo did the perfect mix of jokes that the wedding guests would get and references that battle rap fans would get, too,” one redditor noted.
“I cried tears of joy at the end,” offered another. “I’m so damn emotional.”
