Chad Love Lieberman, the artist who allegedly stole art from DeviantArt, is not related to the senior U.S. senator from Connecticut.
According to an email from Senator Joe Lieberman’s press office to the Daily Dot, the long-serving senator is not Chad Lieberman’s uncle. That’s despite Chad Lieberman’s apparent claims to be his nephew and press reports, including some in the Daily Dot, which incorrectly repeated those claims as fact. (We’ve corrected our stories.)
What we do know for sure about Chad Lieberman: He’s the cofounder of Art4Love, an online art retailer which has allegedly stolen hundreds of pieces of art from more than 300 DeviantArt artists.
