Anonymous takes no credit for this weird anti-Valentine’s hack

A group called Indonesian Security Down is protesting Valentine's Day by hacking in the name of Allah and claiming to be associated with infamous hacker collective Anonymous. Anon, however, wants nothing to do with it.

A group of Muslim fundamentalist hackers associating themselves with the hacktivist group Anonymous has targeted Valentine’s Day. They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore.

The group, “Indonesian Security Down,” probably from Indonesia or Malaysia, given the name and language, has defaced dozens of rather random-seeming sites with an accidentally comic screed against V-Day in a campaign they called #Op Fvcklentine Days:

#Op Fvcklentine Days
This is an operation to reject the valentines day.!!
Valentine is a pagan culture, a culture that is not suitable for us…
Im not yours ,
Your not mine
Be my, ANTI VALENTINE

We are Muslims, Soldier off Allah
FUCK for VALENTINE’s Day

We are Anonymous
We are Legion
We do not Forgive
We do not Forget
Expect us

To say the message is mixed is something of an understatement. “FUCK for VALENTINE’s Day?” Don’t mind if I do. “Soldier off Allah”? Not certain I know how to do that. “Valentine is a pagan culture”? Actually, Valentine is a Christian saint.

One established Anonymous associate, when asked about Indonesia Security Down’s relationship to the group best known for hacking banks and U.S. intelligence organizations, responded simply, “Lolwat?”

The researcher who discovered Indonesia Security Down’s bizarre Valentine’s Day operation did so due to a tweet about a Canadian Catholic school board. He told the Daily Dot his firm had seen the group’s work before.

So if today rubs you the wrong way, here’s your chance to “fuck for” it and “soldier off Allah” at the same time. That’ll show ‘em.
