Super Mario Maker gives the world a brilliant Rickroll

Super Mario Maker lets gamers create their own Mario levels, so it was only a matter of time before one of these levels trolled viewers.

That’s exactly what happened when Miiverse user Kocobé uploaded this level to unsuspecting players.

Yes, we know Rickrolling, or the practice of tricking Internet-goers with Rick Astley’s hit ’80s song “Never Gonna Give You Up,” is a tired tradition, but it’s still cool to see this level. Let’s see how many more memes will make it into Super Mario Maker.

Interestingly, Nintendo did show off this video in the “featured” tab in Super Mario Maker, so the company doesn’t mind having a bit of fun.
