Game of Thrones’ sixth season brought plenty of power grabs, shakeups, deaths, and revelations, but if you don’t have time to refresh your memory with a binge-watch before season 7 drops, rapper Ras Kass has you covered.
Although rap and the land of Westeros have already been entwined through two separate Catch the Throne mixtapes, Kass is taking it a step further with a full-fledged recap of pretty much everything that happened in season 6. It’s not his first rap recap—he made one for season 5 last year—but this year’s takes it up a notch with its scope and lyrics. Using the backdrop of Maggy the Frog’s prophecy to a young Cersei Lannister from season 5, Kass covers every dangling plot line from the past season and a few predictions of what might happen next.
With mentions of what Samwell Tarly could be researching in Oldtown, a potential Jon and Daenerys marriage, and the Valonqar (“little brother”) killing Cersei (a part of Maggy’s prophecy not explicitly mentioned in the show), Kass’ knowledge extends to the far ends of Westeros—and to that of a Maester.
