Mariah Carey famously crooned in a iconic 1993 ballad, “And then a hero comes along, with the strength to carry on.” In the new commercial for Game of War, she’s the crossbow-wielding hero who saves the day.
Carey only shows up for a few seconds in the ad, but you can hear her famous lyrics whenever the two warriors in trouble call for help on their phone. And when she finally does save the day, she’s shooting a dragon down from the sky and charging straight into the fray.
The songstress has always been down for geekin’ out, like when she called “CompuNerd” in her “Touch My Body” music video. And she’s always been vocal about her love for cult classic Mean Girls.
She might be replacing Kate Upton in the ad, but we’re totally chill with warrior Carey taking on the legions of evil.
