The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer is here, and it’s full of scenes where Chris Pratt runs away from ominous clouds of dust.
The film brings together two classic themes from the Jurassic Park franchise: humankind’s struggle against nature, and the hubris of idiots who think they can take on an entire island full of super-strong lizards. (Actually, those two may fold into the same theme. Whatever. Jurassic World is not very literary.)
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as a tough dinosaur trainer and an uptight businesswoman, which is good news for anyone who enjoys tiresome gender roles and bickering. On the bright side, Bryce Dallas Howard now gets to wear flat shoes while fleeing mortal peril! Oh, and Jeff Goldblum‘s back, which is easily the most exciting thing in the trailer— including the CGI volcano that threatens to engulf the island.
