We still have to wait at least another year to see Wish I Was Here, Zach Braff’s Kickstarter movie, but there’s already one good thing to come out of it.

Matt Hulbert purchased a video greeting, in which Braff would “say or do pretty much whatever you want,” but he didn’t just want any old greeting from the actor. He wanted Braff to help him propose to his girlfriend, Janice.

However, Braff was only a small part of the picture. Hulbert also reached out to a number of family and friends (and a few pets)—many whom Janice had been unable to see since she moved to the U.K. seven years ago—to help him out. They each filmed a short piece with signs and balloons telling her to say yes—one even spelled it out in chocolate on a kitchen counter.

Luckily for Hulbert, the production team loved the idea.

“The team were SO kind and SO amazing they got his part of the video to me super early as they really liked the idea,” Hulbert wrote in the video description. “Like me, Janice is a huge fan of ‘Scrubs’ so I knew it would blow her away.”

He sat Janice down at the computer to watch the video with the clear instruction to “keep your eyes firmly on this screen” as he knelt next to her.

Braff was first to appear, and he didn’t disappoint.

“He knows, Janice, Matt does, that he never became the rockstar that he promised you he would become,” Braff said. “I’m sure in your eyes he’s a rockstar. But he’s hoping you can overlook that and he’d like you to please consider being his wife.”

If the advice of family and friends didn’t do it, Braff returned to back Hulbert up even further—with some help from Beyoncé.

Hulbert was thrilled with the end result, and yes, she said yes. The wedding may be in the early stages, but they already know who they want to invite.

@zachbraff Thank you so much for your help with the video. You’re first on the wedding guest list dude!
