Facebook CEO and brand new dad Mark Zuckerberg wants to be like Iron Man.
Every year, the billionaire tech executive takes on a personal challenge—like reading more books, learning Mandarin, and meeting a new person each day—in an effort to experience life outside Facebook.
This year, Zuckerberg’s self-assigned goal is a bit more technical. He’s going to build himself an in-home artificial-intelligence system to help him better manage both his home and his work.
Sound familiar? Zuckerberg described it as something like Iron Man‘s “Jarvis,” Tony Stark’s artificial personal assistant that helps manage his hyper-connected life.
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said that he regularly worked with engineers on other projects, but added, “It’s a different kind of rewarding to build things yourself, so this year my personal challenge is to do that.”
He didn’t describe how exactly the AI would work or how he would build it, but he said he planned to share updates throughout the process. Maybe next year his challenge will be to build an indestructible suit of armor.
