In this episode of The Geek Awakens, I watched 1984’s Gremlins for the “first” time. First is in quotes because my terrible, horrible, very mean, but mostly lovely cousins showed it to me when I was a wee-tiny child, and it terrified me. Turns out, watching it as an adult was no less scary.
After doing some Internet research, I discovered that Gremlins was one of two movies that made the MPAA create the PG-13 rating. Good. This movie is not good for kids. Or adults. Or mankind.
