British Prime Minister David Cameron is due to visit the Queen today, his final royal audience before the general election next month. However, his visit has already been marred by a bizarre omen: a fox chasing a duck in front of his official residence in central London.

Reporters waiting outside 10 Downing Street were surprised to spot a fox running in front of the Prime Minister’s house. BBC reporter Sean Clare caught the whole thing on Vine.

You can’t see the duck in this Vine, but its existence was confirmed by BBC political correspondent Ross Hawkins. We’re guessing it was a slow news morning while they waited for the Prime Minister to leave the house.

London is home to an estimated 10,000 urban foxes, and this isn’t the first time one has been spotted in Downing Street. A fox paid the Prime Minister and his family a visit last Christmas, temporarily trapped by security fences at the end of the street. But unlike some London homeowners, we doubt that Cameron will be hiring snipers to take care of the animal problem.
