If you’re in desperate need of a hero—a person whom you can admire, a person who can inspire, a person who’s just a great American—look no further than Krista Dotzenrod.

Who’s Krista Dotzenrod, you ask? She is the woman in the video below who caught a foul ball at the Chicago Cubs game last week. No, she didn’t simply catch it. She trapped the ball in her cup filled with beer. She then raised said cup with said beer to the sky, with foam dripping down onto Wrigley Field, and chugged said cup with said beer and ball.

And when she did so—and there is, remember, video evidence to support my theory—she was no longer a woman at a baseball game. Despite what I wrote earlier, she wasn’t really a hero, either. She was and is, instead, a freakin’ goddess of everything that is sudsy and holy.

Take a look:

A Steve Bartman she is not.

So, who is Dotzenrod? A 24-year-old who’s from Minnesota with some awfully good hand-eye coordination and a taste for Goose Island beer. (We could take off points for the beer not being Old Style, but in this case, we’ll let the infraction slide.)

“I was told they were amazing seats because you can catch a lot of foul balls,” Dotzenrod told the Chicago Sun-Times. “I was sitting there, and all of a sudden there is a ball in my cup. It fell straight in there. I didn’t know what to do.”

So, she just chugged it. Not surprisingly, that was quite a turn-on to at least one Twitter user.

In any case, job well done, Krista. For one day at least, you’re the envy of the entire baseball worl—Oh wait, there’s a dude who did the same thing the very next day?

Well, apparently you’re in luck, America. Now there are two baseball-watching, beer-drinking, projectile-catching people to whom can you aspire to be.
