Meet Bob the Golden Retriever. He’s about a year and nine months old (about 12 in doggy years) and lives with a hamster and eight birds. But they aren’t just roommates—they’re one big happy pet family.

After seeing how well Bob and his flying brethren got along with each other, Higa eventually filled out the rest of the family with half a dozen more birds and the hamster.
