It was a merry holiday season indeed for Amazon, which posted details of its seasonal success this week including more than 1 billion items sold and a nine-fold increase in the number of Amazon Echo products shipped compared to 2015.
Amazon also listed the top-selling items in each of its product categories over the holiday season.

There are some interesting things to note from the above list, though conclusions should be taken with a grain of salt given the provided information comes from a single retailer over a very specific period of time.
