It looks like celebs are just as in love with the U.S. women’s gymnastics team as the rest of America.
Case in point: Zac Efron flew down to Rio this week specifically to hang out with four-time gold medalist Simone Biles, and of course to take some selfies.
The friendship between the Olympian and the actor and started back in March, when Biles tweeted pics of an Efron-themed leotard that Ellen DeGerneres had given her. Then, when the games finally rolled around in August, she revealed in an NBC interview that she has a life-size cutout of Efron that she used to “kiss on the cheek” when she was younger.
The Biles fandom was enough to spark a back and forth on Twitter that culminated Tuesday night, just after she had won her fourth Olympic gold, when the two got to meet. (They documented the whole thing on her Snapchat).
