The Super Bowl doesn’t arrive until Sunday, but Paramount is getting ahead of the crowd with the release of the live-action Ghost in the Shell’s teaser trailer.
Condensed to a 30-second spot, the teaser retreads on a lot of the same footage released in November. It focuses almost solely on the film’s big star, Scarlett Johansson, in full fight mode. While it exposes the film to a bigger audience, it might also resurge the controversy of whitewashing Johansson’s character from the original anime.
Ghost in the Shell will be released March 31.
