A Christmas Story is as divisive as it is memorable. This holiday season, one man took it upon himself to light up the room with a recreation of the film’s most iconic prop.

While most of the movie focuses on Ralphie’s quest to get a Red Ryder BB gun, it’s the sexy leg lamp that Ralphie’s dad owns—before it shatters in horrific fashion—that sticks out far more. Paul Jackman, who makes and remodels furniture and specializes in custom woodwork, made his own version of the lamp.

Jackman’s creation isn’t an exact replica. One, it’s mostly made of wood, so it’s not quite as “fra-gee-lay” as the movie version. He also used his own leg as a model, calling it the “manly” version. The lamp’s base is a boot, not a heeled shoe.

Jackman showed how he made his leg lamp in intricate detail in a slowed, soothing video.

If you want to learn more about how Jackman constructed his leg lamp, he breaks the process down in a detailed Imgur post.
