It’s a rule that whenever women are living their lives, a man will come along and assume they’re doing it for him. Enter Andrew Duncan, a journalist according to his Twitter bio, who finds it “wonderful” when women wear clothes that let him see parts of their legs, shoulders, and cleavage, but he thinks that it undermines their claims for equality.

People were quick to point out that what women wear has nothing to do with whether or not they’re equal human beings.

Frankly, it’s creepy to think otherwise.

Honestly, some of the takedowns were savage.

And everyone had a good laugh.

Especially in the leg and bosom department.

Amanda Jette Knox, author of Love Lives Here, and Dr. Dena Grayson came out to talk about the hypocrisy of how men literally go topless in public and then say stuff like this.

And the bots were summoned.

Just in case it was a matter of jealousy Twitter user Erynn Brook was keen to reassure him that he’s allowed to get his bosom out too, because equality is for everyone.

Women, in general, are just so done with being told this kind of thing. It’s hot outside. Leave us alone.

But the men of Twitter also think this is bullshit, joining forces with the women to drag him.

Still, Andrew did win entry into the ratio hall of fame, so that’s nice, isn’t it?
