Amid Republican Party infighting sparked by the release of a 2005 recording in which Donald Trump bragged about sexual assault, the hunt is on for rumored new recordings that could amplify the GOP’s problems in the final stretch of the 2016 election.

Chris Nee, a television producer, says there is footage of Trump saying the N-word. The contractual penalty it would allegedly cost to leak the tape is $5 million.

That came in response to a tweet the day before from Bill Pruitt, a former producer on Trump’s The Apprentice.

Of course, the internet is on it. A new GoFundMe campaign is attempting to raise the cash. As of press time, they are only $5.075 million short of the $5.1 million goal.

But where crowdfunding will likely fail, political powerhouse and Hillary Clinton ally David Brock has reportedly offered to pay the full fee if he can get his hands on the tape.

Apprentice producer Mark Burnett argued on Monday that these reports were wrong, that no such penalties or threats exist, and that the whole funding exercise was futile and going nowhere.
