Coming from Conway, who worked for Trump’s presidential bid and has made countless appearances on television flaunting his policies and defending him, the accusation that other people are “obsessed” with the president is an odd one.
On Friday morning, Conway was asked by reporters about a number of topics as she walked into the White House, including the president’s insistence that he canceled his military parade to the White House stripping the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan.
After numerous questions, it appeared Trump’s counselor had enough and decided to ask what was really on her mind:
“Why is everybody so obsessed with the President of the United States that they can’t even begin or finish a sentence without mentioning his name five times? It’s kind of weird,” she told reporters. “It’s infecting people on the news now who fancy themselves security experts.”

Naturally, Conway’s assertion that people were obsessed with the president was met with jokes online.
For the record, this article used the word “Trump” less than five times.
