CNN Host Jake Tapper trolled President Donald Trump early Thursday following the president’s crude and sexist Twitter tirade against MSNBC’s Morning Joe hosts.
It was just one of several instances this week where the president has taken to Twitter to bash the media.

Tapper is known for his witty Twitter remarks.
In the crude tweets against the Morning Joe hosts, Trump claimed Brzezinski and Scarborough stayed at his Mar-a-Lago resort for three nights around New Year’s Eve when, then president of the United States said, Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”
The president has a history of making sexist comments about women bleeding from various body parts.
Trump’s Twitter rampage on Thursday morning has been met with fierce criticism online, and his attack against hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski seems to directly contradict the issues First Lady Melania Trump has considered championing during her time in the White House: cyberbullying.
“Our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially to children and teenagers,” she said last year during a speech. “It is never OK when a 12-year-old girl or boy is mocked, bullied, or attacked. It is terrible when that happens on the playground. And it is absolutely unacceptable when it is done by someone with no name hiding on the internet. We have to find a better way to talk to each other, to disagree with each other, to respect each other.”
Given her husband’s propensity for attacking people online, the irony of Melania Trump championing cyberbullying as a cause was not lost on the internet when she announced her initiative, and it has resurfaced in light of Trump’s Twitter rant on Thursday.
It’s common first ladies to tackle an issue and make it a core focus during a president’s administration. Former First Lady Michelle Obama focused on childhood obesity.
Staunch Trump supporter and Fox News pundit Sean Hannity didn’t seem to like Tapper’s remarks and defended the president for his tweet.

Trump’s Thursday tweets are just one instance of the president bashing the media this week. Since Monday, he has taken shots at CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times, ABC, NBC, and CBS.
