Between the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, we have more than enough cinematic evidence to argue that bringing back dinosaurs is a very bad idea. But luckily an upcoming mobile game will allow us to have our dinosaurs without all of the carnage that comes with them.

Universal and Ludia have teamed up to create Jurassic World Alive, an augmented reality game that allows you to collect DNA to unlock dinosaurs and create hybrid dinosaurs. You can walk around to find dinosaurs, but you also have the ability to collect DNA at home.

“There’s definitely that element of discovery, but we wanted to make it a little more flexible and also give you something to do at home,” Universal executive vice president of games Chris Heatherly told Mashable.

At a glance, Jurassic World Alive looks very similar to Pokémon Go, which also allows you to collect creatures in a mobile game that implements augmented reality. But so far with Jurassic World Alive, there’s less of a focus on moving around to use the game and you’ll have the ability to battle your dinosaurs against other players instead of squaring off at gyms.

Jurassic World Alive will be released sometime this spring, but you can pre-register for the game and receive an in-game incubator when it launches.
