The Daily Dot is now officially one entire year old, and readers, it’s safe to say we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for your eyes, your ears, your links, your retweets, and your comments. We do this for you—for real.

But a little bit about that last matter: those comments. Folks, we’ve got to say that we’d appreciate a few more. See, your insights are valuable. They help us reconsider ideas and formulate hypotheses for new stories. We thrive on your contributions and plead with you for more.

In an effort to lubricate the commenting process and get your wheels spinning and fingers typing, we’ve brought in our resident commentiquetter, Internet Comment Etiquette, to provide a bit of a tutorial on how best to go about getting your point across on the lovely Daily Dot. So sit back, relax, and watch the master at work.
