The thirst is obvious.

Zac Efron’s Instagram is more poppin’ than normal this week—and we know exactly why.

We can try to attribute Efron’s popularity boost to his trendsetting “panini” facial hairstyle, but what’s really fueling interest is Efron’s flirtatious comments on Baywatch co-star Alexandra Daddario’s profile.

The Baywatch remake was released last year, but that’s not stopping a whole bunch of people from Googling the co-stars. Search trends spiked over the past two days for keywords including Efron, Daddario, and Baywatch.

The pair have been seeing each other “on and off” since their time working together on Baywatch, but they are “not officially dating,” a source told People in March.

Despite zero confirmation that they are a thing again, Efron keeps dropping major hints on Daddario’s account.

“Two hot bitches,” Efron commented on Daddario’s photo just Wednesday, along with a string of lovestruck emoji, leading Elle magazine to assert that “this man cannot restrain himself.”

In late March, Efron also commented on Daddario’s photo, saying she looks “dope” with a pair of not-so-subtle emoji eyes.

Fans are laughing over the fact that Efron thirsts over people on social media just like the rest of us.

And good news, adults: It’s totally acceptable to gush over Efron, who rose to fame as the star of High School Musical. At 30, he is very much an adult himself.

This isn’t the first time Efron has almost broken Instagram, by the way. His dance moves—and let’s be real, his universal hot factor and boyish charm—have been drawing clicks for years.

It seems this time, the buzz is about the possibility of Efron linking up with Daddario again. Or maybe the popularity boost is as simple as Efron being a cute guy who gets millions of likes just from posting lame photos with his dog.
