The 1990s and early aughts were a period of fashion most of us would really rather forget, what with its head-to-toe jean assembles, cowboy boots, and endless onslaught of spaghetti straps. But it was Hollywood premieres that saw some of the decades’ worst offenders, and now—thanks to the new Twitter account @NightOpening—thousands of users are reliving some of the most iconic track-suited velvet monstrosities that ever walked the red carpet, the Outline reports.

Launched by a self-proclaimed unofficial Hollywood historian, @NightOpening showcases movie premiere snapshots from back when stars like Robin Williams, Jackie Chan, and Eddie Murphy dominated American cinema. And if 50,000 followers in two weeks is any indication, Twitter users are obsessed with rejoicing at the nostalgia.

Some pictures capture snapshots that are astounding to look back at through the lens of 2019. This image taken at the Face Off premiere shows Kylie Jenner, well, before she was Kylie Jenner.

A few snapshots showcase more modern premieres, like these from Don Jon and Gotti. But for the most part, @NightOpening focuses on the glorious fashion train wrecks of a bygone era. And the internet is loving it.
