According to a report from TMZ, Drake’s cancellation in Amsterdam on Monday wasn’t completely up to him. His stomach had other ideas due to some rancid sushi, and subsequently Drake found himself stapled to the toilet.

It’s said it was so bad, he had to seek medical treatment. To his credit, the Toronto rapper made it to the Ziggo Dome, where fans had already been waiting over an hour before they were informed Drake would have to postpone.

Fans were demonstrably unhappy, even throwing trash onstage, but Drake did promise to make up the date Wednesday.

Perhaps it’s fitting that Drake, long teased for his softness and propensity for suburban pleasures as they relate to hip-hop culture, ate some bad sushi… and got food poisoning. But he’s otherwise having a strong month: His new album More Life broke streaming records, landing him a seventh No. 1 album.
