Samm Levine of ‘Freaks and Geeks’ had a passive-aggressive airplane war too

Perfect.

Samm Levine played Neal Schweiber, one of the geeks, on Judd Apatow’s canceled-too-soon cult classic Freaks and Geeks. You might also know him from Inglourious Basterds—he was in Brad Pitt’s Nazi-bashing crew. You should love him for his Twitter feed, too, because he just ripped Elan Gale, the Bachelor producer who told an annoying woman on his flight to “eat his dick,” then rode his passive-aggressive notes to viral fame, a new one.

It’s a nearly perfect parody. In Levine’s version, he whines about an old man on his flight with diabetes (it was rumored, but not confirmed, that Gale’s foe had cancer) and then swaps his insulin with water and pats himself on the back.

Oh, shit. @MrKevinConnolly is on my flight out of JFK. If this thing goes down, I’ll be lucky to be a footnote. #EntourageReunion #Aquaman

Ugh. Some wacko on my flight is wailing about a “diabetic emergency.” He keeps going on and on about insulin.

It’s like he doesn’t realize we’re all on this plane with him. Yes, yes, you and your diabetes needs come first, sir.

Just because you aren’t watching the inflight movie doesn’t mean we all have to stop what we’re doing to attend to your personal crisis.

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

OK, I HAVE to mess with this guy. I think I’ll crack open the first aid kit and swap out the insulin with that disgusting potable water crap

Holy shit, I did it! There’s no insulin left! I’m literally shaking! (I also just snorted a bunch of coke)

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

FUCK! He’s injecting himself & screaming about not feeling any better. He says he thinks there may be a problem & needs a different medicine

I sent 32G some tums and a note. pic.twitter.com/DJvvTiFELA

OMG!! He’s making such a scene in his row that people are moving away from him!!

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

The flight attendant is paying no attention to him now. I guess he’s heard enough of his pleas for assistance.

Jesus Christ. The copilot just handed me a note from 32G. pic.twitter.com/ssylfugPDV

“David” is about 75 or 80 years old. He’s wearing pants and a shirt, and a silver medic alert bracelet on his ridiculous fucking wrist.

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

I’m carefully crafting my response.

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

Passed him & took a pic. Told him I’d be right back. He’s shaking, mumbling to himself & turning embarrassingly pale. pic.twitter.com/xo2dvXvzpN

David has received another note from me. He’s so pathetic and dominated he pretended to be napping.

Uh-oh. We’re “landing” soon.

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

Well, I’m waiting for him at the gate but he’s clearly scared and won’t get off the plane to face me.

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

Someone from the “coroners” office just boarded the plane to get him. What the hell is that anyway? An office for self-centered douches?

— Samm Levine (@SammLevine) December 2, 2013

Yeah, he’s definitely too much of a pussy to face me. I’m going home. I gave the gate agent a note for him.

I’ve also done a lot of TV guest starring work and been in some great indies. Thanks for being a fan. Now lick my asshole, seriously.”

Thanks for all the supportive responses, everybody. Looks like another win for the good guys tonight. #TeamSamm #32G #NoWitnesses

Apparently, a lot of people took Levine seriously and accused him of stealing insulin from an elderly diabetic man.

There are a STAGGERING amount of people who think I took an old man’s insulin from him. Get it together, people.

Patton Oswalt, king of the long-form Twitter jokes, gave Samm props.

.@pattonoswalt Praise from Caesar!! Thanks so much, buddy! You made my twitter explode!

And—kind of amazingly—so did Elan Gale.

And in the interest of avoiding a Weird Al/ Coolio situation, @theyearofelan DM’d and said he enjoyed as well. Spread the love, folks.
