Want to read Reddit but don’t have the time? Our daily Reddit Digest highlights the most interesting or important discussions from around the social news site—every morning.

  • The politician AMA-train keeps chugging forward. On Saturday, Sherriff Mack took the stage. He’s the opponent of Stop Online Piracy Act-sponsor Lamar Smith, possibly the most reviled man on Reddit. And early Monday morning, Karen Kwiatkowski, who’s running for Virginia’s 6th District seat against another SOPA sponsor, invited redditors to ask her anything. The stampede of politicians is just beginning. (/r/IAmA)

  • Also in /r/IAmA, a former Zynga employee reveals all. You know Zynga (, right? It’s the company that makes those terrible, crack-like Facebook games that ruin your life. Fortunately, the guy claims he doesn’t have an axe to grind against his former employer, making his responses pretty balanced and reasonable. (/r/IAmA)

  • There’s drama between the creator of the Reddit Enhancement Suite and moderator kjoneslol. The discussion, which gets a little heated at the end, is actually quite interesting, and centers on the clash between moderator CSS enhancements to their own subreddits and third-party add-ons like RES. The debate continues at /r/SubredditDrama. (/r/SubredditDrama)

  • A Canadian HIV vaccine has been approved for human testing. Big surprise, a former student of the doctor behind the study is an r/science lurker. (/r/science)

  • This guy’s been awake for 24 hours, “consumed 1000 mg’s of caffiene, and drank a two liter bottle of Mountain Dew.” He wants you to ask him anything, but he’s mostly just askingand answeringquestions himself. The selfish voyeur in me wishes it’s because the caffeine and sleep deprivation are driving him mad, but I’m pretty sure it’s mostly just a gimmick. (/r/IAmA)

  • To conclude today’s /r/IAmA-themed Reddit digest: On Friday, Woody Harrelson conducted the worst celebrity AMA in history. That led to a lot of philosophizing in /r/TheoryOfReddit and even more fodder for entertainment in /r/funny and elsewhere. (/r/IAmA)
