A clip from Thursday night’s episode of Project Runway has taken over the internet after contestant Tyler Neasloney called out judge and host Karlie Kloss for her relationship to the Kushners.
During the episode, contestants were asked to design a garment that Kloss would wear to a CFDA event in Paris using upcycled garments from Goodwill, according to Upsider. As he sat on the brink of elimination, 29-year-old Tyler Neasloney faced harsh criticism from the judges on his look.
“I cannot see Karlie wearing it anywhere, honestly,” judge Brandon Maxwell said.
Then came the clapback heard ‘round the world.
“Not even to dinner with the Kushners?” Neasloney retorted. Kloss was speechless at the remark. Most of the cast audibly gasped.
“Oh no Tyler don’t say that out loud,” one contestant said.
“Holy s—t,” another said.
For those unaware, Kloss is married to Joshua Kushner (a.k.a. the younger brother of Jared Kushner.) The elder Kushner, as most know, is married to Ivanka Trump.
It’s worth noting Joshua Kusher and Kloss’ politics don’t seem to align with President Donald Trump’s. According to Refinery 29, Kloss is an outspoken feminist and Joshua Kushner is a progressive Democrat. The couple supported the student-led March For Our Lives movement.
And sure, Neasloney said he didn’t mean anything harmful—but the internet was here for the shade.
“She honestly doesn’t get enough smoke for being married to a Kushner,” one user, @pengtingpav, tweeted.

As for Neasloney, he doesn’t seem to regret what he said.
The fashion designer—who was eliminated from the show last night—responded to someone’s Instagram story with a cry-laughing emoji and the kissy-face emoji as well as a GIF of Nene Leakes saying “I said what I said.”
