Yes technically it’s not legal to keep a cat in your store. And sure some people might be allergic, but bodega cats are an accepted part of life in New York City. They scare away mice, and who doesn’t want to pet a fluffy little stranger while they wait to buy cigarettes and Reese’s cups?
That’s why the good people of New York were none too happy when someone got on Yelp and narced out this handsome guy.
