Tea Party-leaning Republicans and fans of Sarah Palin are using the former vice presidential candidate’s Facebook page as a place to express their frustrations over the current Republican primary.

With more than 3 million “likes” on Facebook, Palin’s page is bound to be an active place, but the uncertain Republican race for the White House has brought even more activity to the account. Hundreds of messages are posted everyday on Palin’s page express disappointment over Mitt Romney, who still has an advantage in the race, and how he is considered by many as being too moderate.

Some users want Palin to put her support behind former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.

“We as Conservatives are destroying ourself and our country. Why we are letting a Moderate/Liberal like Romney winning. We are letting the establishment winning,” wrote Miguel Hernandez.“We need to support Newt and beat them down!!! So who is with me to defeat the establishment and the Liberals!”

“Thank you Sarah, Please keep up the kind words for Newt,” wrote Deborah Clayton. “We need him to win the White House back so we can be the Strong, Proud, Wonderful America we know we can and will be once again.

Although Palin has not officially endorsed anyone for the Republican nomination, Politico reported on Sunday that she has almost become an unofficial surrogate for the Gingrich camp, coming to his defense on multiple occasions during television interviews recently. Gingrich also scored the endorsement of the governor’s husband, Todd, shortly before the South Carolina primary.

The candidate who appears to get the least criticism on the site is Rick Santorum. Yet, while many support him, they users generally think he should drop out and support a more likely candidate. Santorum is also the only candidate mentioned by Palin in any of her recent Facebook posts. On Sunday, Palin published a picture of the former Pennsylvania Senator and his daughter Bella, who was hospitalized this weekend, with a note that stated the Santorum family was in her thoughts and prayers.

“Nothing is more precious or important than the life of an innocent child,” Palin wrote. “Our prayers are with Bella, a perfect child in an imperfect world.”
