Fox News host Neil Cavuto dug into President Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying his angry tweets and railing against the media as distractions that “risks your political destruction.”

Cavuto devoted a segment called “Common Sense” toward Trump’s actions during his show on the conservative-leaning network.

“Mr. President, it is not the fake news media that’s your problem,” Cavuto said. “It’s you.”

The Fox News host said Trump’s scapegoating and tweets help feed his “own beast.”

By railing against members of his own administration and creating near-daily distractions, Cavuto argued, Trump risks derailing any chance he had of carrying out his conservative agenda.

“Mr. President, they didn’t tweet disparaging about a London mayor in the middle of a murder spree, you did,” Cavuto said. “They didn’t create that needless distraction, you did. They didn’t get you off your very valid and very promising agenda, you did. They didn’t turn on a travel ban that you signed, you did. You’re right to say a lot of people are out to get you, Mr. President, they are.”

Cavuto then pivoted, saying the “critiques” he is hearing from conservative allies could be seen as “sort of an intervention.”

Trump has faced backlash in recent weeks for a number of decisions—including tweeting about his travel ban that would bar people from several predominately Muslim countries, taking comments made by London Mayor Sadiq Khan out of context in a firey tweet, his seeming willingness to fracture long-held diplomatic ties with foreign allies, and withdrawing from the landmark Paris Climate Accord.

“Just because your own critics never thought you’d make it to the White House, does not mean you shouldn’t listen to those who want you to thrive and succeed in the White House,” Cavuto said at the end of his segment. “They’re not the problem, Mr. President. Like I said, these days, you are.”
