A can holder featuring Vice President Joe Biden—arguably America’s goofy mascot—has become Twitter’s must-have item of the week.

President Obama’s 2012 election website recently put up new merchandise for sale. But among the logoized t-shirts, aprons and cat collars, the $10 can holder stands apart. Twitter has taken a definite liking, causing mentions of the product to trend.

Is it the Vice President’s grinning goofball countenance? Is it the phrase “Cheers Champ” emblazoned under his likeness, making you feel like Biden himself is toasting your canned beverage?

Some Twitter denizens planned to use the cozy for alcoholic beverages, ignoring the election website’s strong emphasis on the product as a soda can cozy.

“The Joe Biden Can Holder perfectly combines my loves of Joe Biden and beer,” wrote @heyelisabeth.

“Gonna have to start drinking my wine in a can, a la the Gang,” wrote @mkspringer, linking to the product.

Other users thought the product might be an elaborate prank.

“Seriously?! The Obama 2012 website is selling a Joe Biden can holder?” wrote @GeekAaron.

“Props to the intern who convinced them to sell this,” wrote @BenCox83.

But it wasn’t just a joke. Many users said they bought or wanted to buy it.

“This new Joe Biden can holder is literally the coolest new item in the Obama 2012 store,” wrote @collegegrad1988.

“I just bought an #Obama2012 Joe Biden Can Holder,” wrote @AFistfulOfSharks. “It was literally impossible to resist this.”
