Canada just joined Twitter—with bilingual accounts

Move over, Sweden—another snowswept northern nation is invading Twitter with a pair of new accounts, one in English, one en Français: O, Canada, we can’t wait to fav thee.

What kind of conversation will America’s Attic™ foment in the fiery crucible of social media? A polite one, of course. But that doesn’t mean they can’t sneak in a goofy joke or two.

They probably don’t need to keep tweeting at themselves—especially if they want to grab the attention of some other countries—but we’re sure they’ll get the hang of it, eh? Sorry.
