Huy Fong Foods introduced America to Sriracha in 1980, but its fiery red hot sauce didn’t truly explode until the last decade. In that period, it has gone from a standard hipster condiment to a ubiquitous force in the world. Fast food joints put it on burgers, people wear its logo on t-shirts, documentaries have been produced, and tattoos have been inked into flesh. But Sriracha has never been a car. Until now.
Lexus has produced a special one-of-a-kind Lexus Sriracha IS, and holy crap does it feature a mess of Sriracha influences. From a special Sriracha paint job, complete with “chili-flake” accents in the paint, to the temperature settings going from “cool” to “Sriracha” this vehicle is everything you could ever want from a hot sauce-themed luxury ride.

The impressive design job is obviously the main selling point for this car but, despite being a one-off job, Lexus has introduced one genuinely brilliant concept here. Namely, the introduction of the emergency sauce key fob. Someone out there needs to make one of these for real. Far too often people find themselves away from home, desperately needing spice and finding themselves with no solution. Please, Lexus, make this one aspect a reality for those of us who will never be able to afford the spiciest car in the world.
Not that its price point matters. You may never be able to buy one, but you can see it for yourself during the Los Angeles Auto Show from November 18-27.
