The Republican National Committee (RNC) has launched to push back against former FBI Director James Comey.

The counter attack has begun.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) and allies of President Donald Trump are already pushing a counter-narrative against former FBI Director James Comey ahead of his much-hyped interview on ABC later this week.

The RNC has launched a website,, that uses Trump’s nickname for the FBI director he abruptly fired last year, a termination that sparked calls of obstruction of justice and paved the way for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to be appointed.

The website, which links to several interviews where Democrats criticize Comey, also tries to defend Trump’s decision to fire Comey.

“While Democrats feigned outrage over President Trump’s firing of James Comey, they had long questioned Comey’s ability to lead the FBI and even called for him to be fired,” the website reads.

At the bottom of the website, a disclaimer says the RNC paid for the website and it was “not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.”

The LyinComey website comes just days before the former FBI director will appear in an ABC News interview where he reportedly refers to Trump as a “mob boss.” Sources told Axios that the interview will “certainly add more meat to the charges swirling around Trump,” and will “shock the president and his team.”

Next week Comey will also release his memoir, A Higher Loyalty, which people expect will also be critical of the president.

The publicity tour from Comey will mark his first on-air comments about Trump since he was fired, but the former FBI director has not been shy about seemingly subtweeting the president on Twitter over the past year.
