Light the fire, gather the kids, and grab your laptop; Google’s Santa Tracker has gone live. Created as a space for kids to play and learn during the Holiday season the site features Google’s classic tongue in cheek sense of humor and playful design.

Learn about holiday traditions all over the world from Ghana to New Zealand, help Santa sort gifts for all the good boys and girls, and enjoy gorgeously animated cartoons about St. Nick getting ready for the big day. There are even K through 12th-grade lesson plans about the holiday available for download. A new game or feature gets unveiled each and every day until the 24th. That’s when the magic truly starts.

On Christmas Eve, Google officially launches the GPS component to its yearly Santa Tracker, a high-tech piece of technology that allows the tech giant to trace the whereabouts of a thousand-year-old magical elf for one special evening. You don’t have to wait until then to start celebrating the holiday. Head over to the Santa Tracker now to open this gift a little early.
