Raise your hand if music is a must-have when you hit the gym. No surprise there. In recent years, researchers have found that our bodies will instinctually try to sync up with the beat and tempo of a song, which often makes us work out harder and faster.

But this new Kickstarter from Glow, LLC is about to bring things to the next level. Their glowing laser headphones actually show you how fast your heart is beating or can sync to your music.

Sweet.

According to Design Boom, the laser-lit earbuds—which come in neon shades of blue, red, and green—stay aware of their heartbeat by pulsing as fast as the heart is beating.

A small monitor is placed in the earbud so that it will be able to get a clear reading.

You will do better bike tricks with these headphones.

The folks at PSFK say that the Kickstarter is working in part to help perfect an intuitive 5-way controller for each pair of earbuds. Not only would it adjust the song selection and volume, but it would sync with your phone to allow you to answer texts, take selfies, and track fitness goals.
