Andrew Yang drew the ire of porn enthusiasts online Tuesday after taking a shot at Microsoft’s Bing search engine during the fourth Democratic debate.
While discussing major tech companies and whether they should be broken up, Yang suddenly blurted out that “there’s a reason why no one is using Bing today,” saying that competition brings out the best in Silicon Valley giants.
“Sorry Microsoft, it’s true,” the candidate said.

While it may be true that Bing fails to generate the same traffic as its fellow search engine Google, the internet was quick to reprimand Yang for failing to understand Bing’s true purpose: porn.
Bing’s ability to find porn “across a wide variety of sites” rivals all other search engines, TV writer Mike Drucker pointed out on Twitter.
Wow. I don't usually do this, but Andrew Yang is extremely wrong here: Bing is a great search engine for porn if you're trying to find content across a wide variety of sites. Really sad to see him fuck up like this.

But Mike isn’t alone. Countless Twitter users jumped to Bing’s defense for its unrivaled porn-finding capabilities.

Even Yang’s own supporters turned against him on the issue.

But what makes Bing so great for adult content? According to one Twitter user, Bing’s safe search function “makes zero attempt to filter out porn,” thus allowing users unfettered access to specific porn-related imagery.
