The hit show Roseanne will be coming back in spinoff form this fall, but in the meantime, the Roseanne Barr traveling apology show is a way more fascinating must-watch. The embattled comedian made an appearance on Hannity late Thursday to discuss the tweet that tanked her hit show and stalled her career.
In the interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, the 65-year-old Barr labeled the entire situation a “big misunderstanding” and once again blamed Ambien for her offensive and racist comment calling former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett the baby of the Muslim Brotherhood and “planet of the apes.”
Barr has discussed the tweet and the backlash in other venues, taking to YouTube to give her side of the story and apologizing during a podcast interview with Rabbi Shmuley.
Barr said that she wants people to like her and not hate her and that she’s still stunned by Disney and ABC Network’s reaction to her tweet. ABC called the tweet “abhorrent” back in May. She blames her firing and the canceling of her successful sitcom on other external factors like being fired because she’s a Trump supporter and people not understanding the comment was meant to be political and not racial.
This week the comedian also announced her own perfume. Kind of.
