Chris Cornell‘s daughter joined forces with OneRepublic to honor her father and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington.

Toni Cornell, 12, sang the classic Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah” on Good Morning America, alongside OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. “It’s an honor to perform this for my dad and Chester and to sing for them,” she said in a statement.

“Hallelujah” has been a throughline. In May, Cornell was found dead in a hotel room in Detroit. Bennington sang “Hallelujah” at his memorial service and wrote a touching tribute to his close friend. On July 20, Cornell’s birthday, Bennington was also found dead. Both deaths were ruled suicides.

On Father’s Day, Toni wrote a moving letter to her late father. “Our special connection was always the arts,” she said. “Poems, books, music, writing. We both have a unconditional love for it.”
