Raven Symone‘s not just back at the Disney Channel, she’s home.
Her new show Raven’s Home picks up a few years after her hit teen series That’s So Raven ended: Raven Baxter is still a fun lady with secret psychic powers, but now she’s a single mom of two and has a few more responsibilities on her plate. Luckily, her best friend Chelsea is still by her side through it all. According to E!, “the father of Raven’s kids is none other than Devon Carter,” a.k.a. Raven’s boyfriend from the original series, and he’ll make some appearances in the new show, too. It sort of sounds like Netflix’s Full House reboot… but good?
The real test of a good Disney Channel series is the theme song, and they had a high bar to meet with this one (That’s So Raven‘s was famously ear worm-y). Something tells us fans and new viewers are gonna have no problem bopping along to this, though:
In the premiere episode, one of Raven’s twins discovers he’s inherited her psychic abilities and isn’t sure who to tell about it. Gourmet!
Raven’s Home premieres Friday, July 21 at 10pm ET on Disney Channel.
