Sex and the City co-stars Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker enjoyed incredible success on the show and the two films it spawned, but that success clearly hasn’t translated into a sustainable friendship, as Cattrall revealed in a vicious new Instagram post on Saturday.

Cattrall posted a screenshot of a text bubble with the words, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.” She was referring to the unexpected death of her brother, Christopher Cattrall, last week.

Several of Cattrall’s former co-stars reached out to her after she made the initial announcement on Instagram, including Parker, who commented, “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.”

But Cattrall—who recently told Piers Morgan she has “never been friends” with her Sex and the City co-stars and declined the opportunity to appear in a third film—wasn’t ready or willing to accept Parker’s condolences. “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,” Cattrall captioned her latest Instagram post. “Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

Parker, meanwhile, continued to express her sympathy in recent interviews. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the star said, “If somebody in your life, whether you’re in touch with them or not, [is] suffering for any reason, it’s involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness or just let someone know you’re thinking about them.”
