Ivanka Trump’s Thanksgiving posts on Instagram were pretty standard: There was a photo of herself petting a turkey, plus a family selfie.

But on Thursday, celebrities that Trump follows on Instagram had a message for her. Posts uploaded to the social media platform called on Trump, who is the president’s adviser and daughter, to advocate for young undocumented immigrants.
Sophia Amoruso, author of #GirlBoss and founder of online clothing retailer Nasty Gal, started the trend. She tagged Trump in a post that began, “Dear Ivanka.”
“I see you’re following me on Instagram,” the post said. “This Thanksgiving I would be grateful if you use the influence you have to advocate for a CLEAN Dream Act by December.”
President Donald Trump ended Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)—the program that offered legal protection to undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. as children—in September.
The “clean” Dream Act refers to bipartisan legislation activists are calling for that would protect immigrants covered by DACA, as well as their families.
“Happy Thanksgiving, Ivanka #cleandreamact,” Amoruso wrote in the caption of her post.
Model and actor Cara Delevigne, actress Olivia Wilde, and other celebrities that Ivanka Trump follows on Instagram reposted Amoruso’s message—increasing the likelihood the president’s adviser might actually see it.

Actres Sophia Bush, who starred in One Tree Hill, added an additional message to Trump in the caption of her post.

“Dear Ivanka, It’s possible to be thankful and thoughtful. On a day meant for family and gratitude, think of all families. We implore you,” she wrote.
