Anna Kendrick would like you to know she is not the mother of Enrique Iglesias’ new babies.
It all started earlier this week when Iglesias and his longtime partner Anna Kournikova welcomed a pair of newborn twins to their family. The famously private couple Instagrammed two photos of the kids—Lucy and Nicholas—with the simple caption “My sunshine” for both. Nothing too out of the ordinary there. But when Yahoo went to cover the exciting news, the site accidentally picked the wrong “Anna K” from their photo library. The result was a birth announcement paired with a dramatic, windswept shot of Kendrick’s face.
The Pitch Perfect star noticed the mixup late Tuesday and posted a screenshot to Twitter, joking “How do I get to this timeline where I’ve slept with Enrique Iglesias please and thank you.”

It’s like Inception with celebrity birth announcements.
Later that evening Kendrick followed up: “I realize the confusion probably came from the two Anna K names, but she’s a tall blonde athlete and I’m – oh, oh – do they think I’m the baby?”

The story has since been updated with an image of Kournikova and Iglesias (who, fun fact, have been together since Kournikova co-starred in the 2001 “Escape” music video).
