The American Gods TV series begins next month, and Neil Gaiman filmed a mini-documentary to get you in the mood.
Gaiman returned to Iceland to film this video, reminiscing about when he first started working on the novel, 20 years ago. He describes American Gods as a story about immigrants, tying into his own history as an immigrant in America.
It’s incredible to think that “American Gods” was a working title that Gaiman thought up on the spur of the moment. But that’s why they pay him the big bucks.
